Frequently asked questions

Ecliptic Alerts · eclipticalerts.com · Updated September 18, 2026
Information about the signals of a mechanical trading system. It is not financial advice or a personalized recommendation: each person decides and executes on their own and at their own risk. If your question is not here: [email protected].
·
1. What is Ecliptic Alerts, and what is it not?

Ecliptic Alerts is a signal service: a fixed-rule system computes, each afternoon after the US market close, what to buy and what to sell in US stocks and ETFs, and Ecliptic Alerts sends the list. Each subscriber executes it in their own broker. Ecliptic Alerts does not trade any account, has no access to it, holds no money and gives no personalized advice: every subscriber receives the same signals, scaled to their capital.

2. When do the signals arrive?

Monday to Friday, normally within 3 hours after the regular US market close. They are sent by email from [email protected] and, if it is connected, by Telegram. On days with no trades, a short "no signals today" email is sent as well.

3. What do I do with the signals?

If you decide to replicate them, the orders are entered in your broker after the close and before the next open, as market orders (Market or Market-on-Open), and they fill at the open without further action. Sells are entered first, then buys, so that the cash from the sells funds the buys. There is no need to be at the screen at 9:30 ET if the orders were entered the night before.

4. I missed the open, or did not execute an order. What should I do?

The system is measured with fills at the open; an order filled later in the same session is a small deviation, and an order that was never executed is a deviation the system cannot see. If a buy was not executed, the sell for that position will arrive at some point: it can simply be disregarded. If the quantity is corrected on the personal page (or set to zero), the portfolio and results reflect what is actually held in the account. What to do with a late order is a decision for you, not for Ecliptic Alerts.

5. Which broker do I need?

Any broker that allows buying and selling US stocks and ETFs with market orders. Ecliptic Alerts has no agreements with any broker; those named on the landing page are only examples of brokers with direct access. Local depositary receipts (e.g. CEDEARs) are not the same instrument (different hours, currency, ratios and liquidity): the signals are built for US tickers and have not been validated on those receipts.

6. What is the minimum capital?

Indicative: around US$ 30,000. The portfolio is spread across about 30 positions; with less capital, many buys do not reach one whole share and the results diverge from the system. The page accepts any amount from $100 to $100,000,000, but below $30,000 that limitation should be kept in mind. It is not a recommendation on how much to invest.

7. Do I have to report my capital?

No. Signals arrive as a percentage of capital: the figure stays in the subscriber's browser, Ecliptic Alerts never knows it, and the personal page converts it to quantities. Ecliptic Alerts does not compute quantities for each person and does not know your capital.

8. How do I change my capital?

From the personal page, using the link from the welcome email (it is also at the bottom of every alert): "Change" the capital. The change applies from the next alert. The figure to enter is the total you trade with today, not the amount deposited.

9. How many trades are there, and how much time do they take?

There are signals almost every day: in the first seven weeks of live operation there were trades on 32 of 36 sessions. Entering them takes about ten minutes. Some strategies rotate every few days and others hold positions for months; rebalancing days are the busiest.

10. What happens on weekends and holidays?

No signals are sent. When the next day is a US market holiday, the alert indicates it and states that those orders are executed at the next open (e.g., the Friday before a Monday holiday: "execute on Tuesday").

11. I have just joined. What do I receive on the first day?

An "entry list" with the long-term positions the system holds at that moment, scaled to your capital, so that you start from the point where the system stands. The fast strategies are added with the signals of the following weeks; within one or two weeks the subscriber's portfolio resembles the system's. If the subscription starts on a weekend, the list arrives the same day with Friday's prices and is executed on Monday.

12. I did not receive the email. What should I do?

First, check Spam/Promotions and mark it "Not spam". Then open your personal link: the latest alert is always there, even if the email was lost. If nothing arrived on a trading day and the personal page shows nothing new either, write to [email protected] and the alert will be resent.

13. I lost my personal link (or I believe someone else has it).

The link is your access: it never changes; it should be saved and not shared. If it was lost, write from the email address used to register and the welcome email will be resent. If you suspect that someone else is using it, notify Ecliptic Alerts: a new link is generated and the previous one stops working.

14. On how many devices can I open my link?

Two: a phone and a computer. The first one is authorized automatically when the link is opened. If it is opened on another device, a 6-digit code is requested and sent to the registered email; a third device replaces the one that has not been used for the longest time. The personal page lists the authorized devices and allows removing one. Access is personal and non-transferable: sharing it can end the subscription.

15. How do I connect Telegram?

From the personal page: "Open Telegram" opens the chat with the bot; tapping START completes the connection. Confirmation may take a few minutes. The email continues to arrive as well. Telegram messages cannot be forwarded or copied, and the Telegram account must be personal, not a group.

16. How do I cancel? What happens to my positions?

At the bottom of the personal page there is an "Unsubscribe" button; it asks for confirmation, and the cancellation is confirmed by email. During the free month, alerts stop immediately; on a paid plan, at the end of the period already paid for (Terms, section 7.1). Any open positions are yours and remain in your account: Ecliptic Alerts does not trade anything, so what to do with them is your decision. If you wish to return, write to Ecliptic Alerts and the subscription resumes where it was.

17. How much does it cost?

US$ 99 per month or US$ 899 per year. The yearly plan is at its launch price: US$ 899 for the first year for anyone who signs up by December 31, 2026; renewal is at the plan's then-current price (today US$ 990), announced by email 30 days in advance with the amount (Terms, sections 6.1 and 6.3). Published prices include any taxes applicable in the subscriber's country: the announced amount is the total charged. On your card statement the charge appears as “CREEM.IO* STORE”, the payment provider, not “Ecliptic Alerts”. The first month is a free trial, with no card and no contract; nobody starts paying without having explicitly agreed to it. The subscription can be cancelled with one button, on any day.

18. Monthly or yearly?

The yearly plan suits someone who has already decided to stay at least a year: it costs less per month, but it is paid in advance and cancelling does not refund the rest of the period (Terms, section 7.1). If you are not sure yet, the monthly plan is the better choice: you can switch to yearly later, at the end of a monthly period, from your personal page. On both plans, within 14 days of the first charge you can request a full refund (section 7.2).

19. What are the returns?

The only thing Ecliptic Alerts can show is how these rules would have traded in the past, net of commissions and slippage (simulated): the core (70 % of the portfolio), with a −16.1 % max drawdown, returned 17.8 % a year from 2016 to 2025; the full portfolio, with a −20.2 % max drawdown, 29.0 % a year from 2022 to 2025. Live, with real money, since August 2026: the updated figure is on the home page. That is too little time to draw any conclusion. A backtest is not a promise.

20. It is losing. Is that normal?

Yes, and it should be known before starting: the backtest (simulated) had 20 % drawdowns, −9 % months, around 4 negative months a year and a 13-month stretch without a new high. The system has no way to avoid them; what it does is follow the rules. If a decline of that size would lead you to abandon the system, it is better not to start. Staying or leaving is your decision.

21. What data does Ecliptic Alerts keep?

Name, email, language, delivery channel, the Telegram chat if it was connected, the signals sent, the version of the Terms accepted, the authorized devices (name, e.g. "iPhone · Safari", and last use), the country from which access is requested and the link is opened (country only, 48 hours per opening) and how many devices open it per day, to detect shared links; and the capital only if shares mode was requested. The IP address is not stored. Nothing from the broker: Ecliptic Alerts has no access to the account. What is entered on the personal page (capital, corrected prices and quantities) stays in the browser and is never sent to a server. Details in the Privacy Policy.

22. The prices and quantities in my portfolio do not match what I bought.

This is expected: the page shows the reference price (the last close before the order) and the actual purchase took place at the next open, at a different price. Tapping the quantity or the price allows replacing it with the actual figures; from then on the result is your own. Those corrections and the capital are stored in that browser: if the link is opened from the other device, they need to be entered again.

23. Which countries can subscribe?

The United States, Canada, Argentina and the other Latin American countries listed in section 4 of the Terms (Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Panama, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua and Venezuela). For now the Service is not offered to residents of other countries; in particular, not to residents of the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area (Spain included), Australia or India, for regulatory reasons. Requests and payments from non-admitted countries are declined automatically. What is the same in every admitted country: you need a broker with direct access to the US market, and checking that you may receive this information and trade these instruments where you live is each subscriber's responsibility, as are your taxes; Ecliptic Alerts does not provide tax advice.
